Youth Programs

Our club is passionate about education and youth development. Each year we support this priority through donations of books to the seven schools in our district at the local ANZAC Day Service, bursaries to an outstanding student, at each of those schools, who is transitioning to high school and provide opportunities for local students and young adults to attend the three enrichment camps that are hosted by Rotary at Bornhoffen PCYC in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

RYPEN

Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment is a camp for 14 to 16 year old children, designed to assist them in transitioning them into adulthood. It consists of a variety of workshops and activities to develop friendship, confidence and life long skills.

RYTS

Rotary Youth Transition Seminar is for 17-18 year olds, assisting them in developing skills to transition from secondary education to either tertiary education or life in the workforce. It can also be beneficial to students in year 11 who may be taking on a leadership role in their school.

RYLA

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards is a camp for young adults, 19 - 28 years of age aimed at further developing communication and presentation skills, problem solving, conflict resolution, self-confidence and self-esteem are key objectives of this program.
